Grand Haven Lighthouse
I was about to leave…
My face was numb and so were my fingers. I wasn’t ready for the cold and the wind. It was too early in the season. I was on the beach photographing The Grand Haven Lighthouse for just over an hour when I decided it was time to pack it in and continue further up North. I was at Grand Haven the night before and as soon as I pulled in it started to pour. I would choose to return the next morning. It was a little detour in the trip but well worth it and we kind of didn’t really have a hard plan anyway.
As I got to my truck I saw 4 guys getting ready to head out on the water. As much as I didn’t want to freeze some more I had to follow them out and grab some shots. I thought they were pretty crazy but so did the people the day before when they saw me at the end of another pier with 10ft waves crashing over the pier.
It was a pretty cool experience to watch these friends shred the 10 ft waves on Lake Michigan at The Grand Haven Lighthouse,
